Pumpkin Still Life

6 X 6" Oil on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. This painting is currently in a gallery if you would like to purchase, please email me at tcoy1@msn.com This tiny pumpkin was a gift from Jack. It took me awhile to figure out how I should paint it. My inspiration came from this thought provoking poem by my daughter Brianne....
Carving Pumpkins
simple
childhood
turned
complex adult thought
single thought
broken thought
wish the spoon could scrape out my insides
I could throw them on the floor
pick through them like hunting for seeds
so I could keep the ones that I want

Blue Wildflowers

6"X6" Oil on gallery wrapped stretched canvas $100.00
Every year I admire these growing by the side of the road. They are often at the edge of the soybean fields, now a copper color. It creates quite a pretty complimentary color scheme.

Floral Still Life with Roseville Pottery

SOLD
12"X12" Oil on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. Backlit by the morning sun, painted from life, this painting took several weeks to complete. The flowers are painted first, as they don't last very long. The Roseville Pottery is from my own collection.

October Evening on the Lake

I ordered a new color from Blue Ridge Artist Materials. http://www.blueridgeartist.com/ They hand make all of their oils. This color is smalt, a beautiful blue sometimes difficult to obtain. Nice buttery consistency to the paint. Wonderful customer service. Thanks Eric!

Pyramid Hill Art Festival

This is a photo of my booth at Pyramid Hill Art Festival which I shared with another artist. I sold four paintings, two small and two large. Thanks again to those great customers! Also shown is the beginning of a daily painting which will be posted today. The traveling watercolor kit is just great for on site painting.
