This is "County H" near Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin. I recently took a workshop at Dillman's, and the road we usually take was closed. This road was the detour, and it was truly spectacular, little inlets, good reflections, and the trees just beginning to turn. The title is after a song by Bob Seeger...

This is a much larger version of an earlier painting. In square format it is on a gallery wrapped stretched canvas. It is named after some of the lyrics in a Peter Gabriel song called "Washing of the Water."

I was fortunate to find this purple canning jar made by a company in Toledo, Ohio. Never knew they came in purple, but I thought it would make a colorful painting. I just picked whatever was blooming in the yard. Seems like it was a shorter than usual summer but then, I probably say that every year :)
This painting is framed so if you are interested in purchasing it, please contact me at email@example.com

I saw these ducks this spring at Voice of America Park. It was a warm morning, not a cloud in the sky. The mama duck allowed me to approach, but she kept her eye on me. I was able to take enough pictures to paint them, the little ones were frolicking in the water, just having fun as babes do.
This is a very low resolution image of this piece. If you are interested in purchasing it email me for a high res image.
