Our bird feeder hangs on a shepherd's hook, high above the deck. The birds roost in the evergreen below, and during the short flight to the feeder, the morning sun captures their wings in a most magnificent way. The light pours through the feathers, but there are also deep shadow areas the sun doesn't illuminate. So amazing, these little moments. Copyright 2016 Linda McCoy
