The Guardian

14"X5" Watercolor on Twinrocker Paper

Poetry Copyright Brianne Prince 2007

Deep along the forest edge

And high on a branch's cracking ledge

Lay the guardian of the falling leaves

Turning, spinning in mid air

They tangle in his matted hair

And form a halo of autumnal fire

Where dried out trees bend and tire

Forming his most confining cage

Where with the forest he's

Doomed to age

I love, love , love this. Faeries are my favorite. Great job by both of you.
