Veterans Day 2011
Thank you for your service!
I started this painting on July 4th of this year; these horses were on parade on our street. I took several photographs and started the painting that day while the memory was still fresh. The tack detail took a long time to accomplish, at one point I set the painting aside in frustration. Perseverance won out in the end and I finished it today.
